Licensed Under CC-BY-LL
Creative Commons Attribution (a.k.a. CC-BY) License means the music can be used, remixed, transformed, etc for any commercial purpose as long as you credit the original creator. This is a great license to indicate to creators that the music can be used completely for free.
Unfortunately, CC-BY music can be redistributed or sold to creators without them knowing it is available for free. In order to prevent that we add simple terms to the CC-BY license and call it "CC-BY-LOFI-LION" or "CC-BY-LL" for short.
Terms We Add to CC-BY License:
Cannot sell access to LOFI LION music. Original LOFI LION media is only available to download via the official download library.
Cannot distribute LOFI LION music via distribution services (such as Distrokid or TuneCore). You may only distribute remixes and derivatives.
Cannot register any remix, derivative, or original LOFI LION song with any content ID system. This is necessary to prevent content ID conflicts.
Credit does not need to strictly follow CC BY requirements. Credit LOFI LION simply with "Music by LOFI LION" or something similar. Must be reasonably visible, such as in the description, a pinned top comment, or a small watermark.
* Some clearly indicated LOFI LION songs are NOT licensed under CC-BY-LL. These songs are clearly labeled that this license does not apply to them. These songs are not in our free download library & are licensed separately.
Attempting to sell or distribute LOFI LION music or to register any LOFI LION song or derivative with any content ID system will result in immediate revocation of all commercial and non-commercial rights and will be reported for copyright violation.
